Reporting To: Product Support Manager

Do you have high integrity and strong work ethic?  We are seeking an experienced Field Service Supervisor to be a key customer contact providing efficient, knowledgeable and professional customer service both personally and through strong team leadership. 

Key Accountabilities

  • Provide excellent customer service as key contact for field service requirements and work orders
  • Promote customer satisfaction, follow up on repairs and collaborate with other departments to deliver high level service
  • Improve customer and employee satisfaction by initiating corrective procedures in the field service operations
  • Investigate and report accidents or near misses
  • Overview field workload to maximize productivity of service operations
  • Prepare invoices for internal and external customers
  • Manage and control work-in-process in a timely manner
  • Administer warranty decisions and subsequent claims
  • Maintain maintenance on the fleet of field service trucks
  • Manage assets and employees at off-site locations
  • Train and coach team members, administer performance evaluations and ensure all employees comply with established customer safety rules
  • Promote and participate in safe work and environmentally sound behaviours and training at all times in support of Toromont’s Health and Safety Policy/Programs and best practices

Key Qualifications

  • Post Secondary Education with a technical focus and experience in a supervisory position (would be an asset) 
  • Minimum 5 years experience in the heavy equipment industry and strong technical aptitude with Cat Products
  • Effective communication skills to effectively interact across all levels of the organization
  • Strong leadership, coaching and team building skills
  • Excellent negotiating, analytical and organizational, problem solving skills with a high sense of urgency
  • Self-directed and adaptable to changing and multiple priorities to meet aggressive deadlines in a fast paced environment
  • Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Applications, DBS, SIS and Caterpillar Corporate Web Navigation 
  • Willing and able to travel and work flexible hours in support of the business needs
  • A valid passport and a valid Driver’s Licence with a clean Driver’s Abstract
