Reporting To: Sales Operations & Asset Manager, ECAN

Do you have high integrity and strong work ethic?  We are seeking an experienced Sourcing, Logistics and Inventory Manager to manage effective and efficient sourcing, distribution, transport (Central Region) and inventory of new Heavy Equipment for the Dealership through factory orders, dealer trades or other means to fulfill our Annual Business Plan and PINS objectives. In addition, the Sourcing, Logistics and Inventory Manager will manage effective distribution of assets to the operating branches with a strong sense of cost containment.

Key Accountabilities

  • Model the way for safe, environmentally sound and healthy work behaviours in support of Toromont's Health and Safety Policies, Programs and initiatives
  • Manage forecasting, pipeline updates, maintenance and inventory units, turns, coverage, order preparation, PINS review, order plan, IM process, DDVS updates and ABP
  • Manage machine specifications, configurations, STD Package, special projects and work with Industry Managers
  • Manage IQuote administration and maintenance, pricing, standard package maintenance and price support
  • Act as primary contact for Cat Sales Ops Rep working on dealer/Cat initiatives, order process and logistics
  • Arrange dealer trades, DCA, Customs, sales meetings and VOD meetings
  • Manage freight and logistics for all Heavy Equipment and Mining Equipment (Central Region)
  • Provide effective management of inventory assets including book value, storage, logistics, adds/subtracts and write downs
  • Oversee the equipment shipping/receiving process

Key Qualifications

  • Post Secondary Education with 5-10 years heavy equipment experience and skilled at project planning
  • Highly safety conscious with knowledge of logistics, freight and customs
  • Strong understanding of our sales operations and proven business and financial acumen
  • Exceptional communication, relationship development and interpersonal skills
  • Customer centric with strong leadership, efficient coaching and effective team building skills
  • Effective decision making and time management with a high sense of urgency
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks with precision and use strong negotiation, analytical and organizational skills
  • Ability to effectively adapt and prioritize in a fast-paced environment with constant deadlines and changing priorities
  • Strong level of commitment, self-directed, independent and a team player with high initiative and integrity
  • Mindset for continuous improvement, excellent problem solving and conflict management skills
  • Computer and systems literate with proficiencies in Microsoft Applications including Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Knowledge of CAT Corporate Web Navigation, DBS, SIS or experience with Toromont operations would be an asset
  • Willing and able to work flexible hours in support of the business needs 
  • Valid Driver's Licence and clean Driver's Abstract
