Do you have high integrity and strong work ethic?  We are seeking an experienced Sales Manager, Mining who will be responsible for the management, development and performance of all Key Account Managers and related accounts. The Sales Manager, Mining will also be accountable for devising and implementing sales plans and strategies for the entire Ontario Mining division. 

Key Accountabilities

  • Model the way for safe, environmentally sound and healthy work behaviours in support of Toromont’s Health and Safety Policies, Programs and initiatives
  • Manage and provide strategies for increasing product support sales within the region
  • Ensure performance targets are achieved by making certain maximum loyalty for (but not limited to) Parts, Service, Equipment and Technology purchases  
  • Motivate, direct and coach Key Account Managers and Sales Operations to achieve objectives by monitoring and providing guidance to related activities
  • Track and report Fleet Health as well as productivity against global benchmarks
  • Conduct data analysis regarding Sales Funnel Management and communicate findings to Senior Leaders and the Executive team
  • Ensure adequate and effective coverage of accounts and assigned territories
  • Review and analyze sales reports to make recommendations based on results
  • Analyze financial statements, reports, forecasts and budgets to support financial performance indicators/business objectives
  • Manage information in support of achieving business metrics and targets

Key Qualifications

  • Post-Secondary Education preferred and/or relevant sales experience
  • 5+ years’ proven experience in a Sales and Management/Supervisory capacity with solid knowledge of the Mining Industry is highly desirable  
  • Solid understanding and experience with financial statement review and analysis
  • Safety conscious with strong leadership and team development skills and a mindset for continuous improvement
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with all levels in cross function teams and with customers
  • Excellent technical knowledge of all products supported by Toromont Cat
  • Solid understanding of Toromont’s operating policies
  • Clearly defined sense of urgency and customer service focus
  • Good analytical, organizational and problem solving skills
  • Proficient with computers (DBS, Microsoft, SIS)
  • Valid Driver’s Licence and clean Driver's Abstract
  • Willing and able to travel in Ontario as required for business
