Reporting To: Product Support Sales Manager

Do you have high integrity and strong work ethic?  We are seeking an experienced Machine Sales Representatives to sell heavy equipment by developing marketing strategies, prospecting for new business and closing customer sales in a diverse territory.

Key Accountabilities

  • Demonstrate safe and environmentally sound work behaviours at all times in support of Toromont’s Health and Safety Policy, Programs and initiatives
  • Represent Toromont Cat in a defined area to support heavy equipment sales, parts sales, exchange components and provide customer support to secure customer agreements
  • Assist in the development of programs to achieve objectives aligned with the department to support the customer base
  • Develop and implement a yearly territory plan and marketing strategies to prospect new business in the assigned territory
  • Liaison between our customers and the Company for all aspects of sales including analysis of specifications to identifying appropriate equipment applications/attachments to meet their needs
  • Conduct presentations to promote Caterpillar parts and service through our service facilities
  • Provide customers with quotes, new products, current offerings and purchasing options
  • Collaborate with customers to reduce the operating cost of their Caterpillar fleet through Repair before Failure, Preventative Maintenance, Predictive Maintenance (Planned Component Replacement and Contamination Control)
  • Participate in weekly planning calls and enter weekly plans into SalesLink System
  • Collaborate with respective ISRs to promote a team selling approach
