Reporting To: Senior Manager, Finance

Do you have high integrity and strong work ethic?  We are seeking an experienced a Manager, Financial Reporting & Analysis to manage all external reporting functions, including significant opportunities for process improvement and documentation.

Key Accountabilities

  • Model the way for safe, environmentally sound and healthy work behaviours in support of Toromont's Health and Safety Policies, Programs and initiatives as well as enforce customer safety rules
  • Oversee consolidation process including review of financial statements and notes, considering disclosure best practices
  • Prepare external reporting documents including MD&A and assisting with Annual Reports and Management Information Circular
  • Lead implementation of any new IFRS standards
  • Review and manage annual business plans and reforecasts submitted by business units to ensure completion and solid practicality
  • Support the external audit process
  • Prepare Audit Committee and certain Board presentation materials
  • Manage process including timelines, systems and other requirements
  • Oversee plan documentation for Senior Management and Board
  • Conduct analytical review and special projects related to business unit results
  • Oversee the accounting, plan and forecast process for one Corporate entity

Key Qualifications

  • University Degree in Business and an Accounting Designation, CPA, CA
  • Experience working in a Public Accounting Firm
  • 3 - 5 years post-qualification experience in industry would be beneficial
  • Keen interest in IFRS
  • Safety conscious with strong leadership and coaching abilities
  • Proactive with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven business and financial acumen with effective decision making and time management 
  • Attention to detail and accuracy with ability to be hands on
  • Mindset for continuous improvement, excellent problem solving and conflict management skills
  • Self-directed, independent and a team player with high initiative and integrity
  • Well organized with the ability to manage multiple and often competing priorities in a fast paced, deadline driven environment
  • Strong computer literacy
