Reporting To: Warranty Manager

Do you have high integrity and strong work ethic?  We are seeking a talented Warranty Writer to create warranty claims and track outstanding service letters for Caterpillar heavy equipment sold throughout Ontario, Manitoba and Newfoundland.

Key Accountabilities

  • Demonstrate safe and environmentally sound work behaviours at all times in support of Toromont’s Health and Safety Policy, Programs and initiatives
  • Coordinate daily receipt of service reports and documents
  • Utilize multiple systems to gather coverage and claim information
  • Review, correct and process all warranty claims
  • Provide invoices for work orders within 3 days
  • Track the flow of jobs through warranty
  • Partner with Branch Coordinators to ensure accurate submissions and assist with reporting

Key Qualifications

  • Post Secondary Education with a minimum 2 years experience conducting analysis in a customer focused environment
  • Safety conscious with a technical/mechanical background preferred
  • Customer centric with strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Highly analytical with excellent proofreading and editing skills
  • Positive and empathetic approach to deal genuinely with challenging situations
  • Organized and able to stay focused on repetitive tasks with a high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Independent with high integrity, solid business acumen and strong initiative
  • Self-directed team player with the ability to prioritize work and perform with a sense of urgency in a high volume, fast paced and deadline driven environment 
  • Computer literate with high proficiencies in Excel, MS Office, Word and Outlook
  • Some experience with CAT Systems and customer programs would be an asset
