Reporting To: Product Support Manager

Do you have high integrity and strong work ethic?  We are seeking a talented Remote Parts Supervisor who will be the main liaison for corporate initiatives and providing efficient, knowledgeable and professional customer service personally and through strong team leadership also providing direction to the site ensuring consistent implementation of policies and procedures in conjunction with the operations and increased market share.
**Please note: Rotational Schedule of 2 weeks in / 2 weeks out. Remote site premiums are applicable** 

Key Accountabilities

  • Model the way for safe, environmentally sound and healthy work behaviours in support of Toromont’s Health and Safety Policies, Programs and initiatives
  • Provide leadership for the parts operations and functions at site
  • Manage parts transactions including sales including parts procurement, orders, backorders and core processing, including pickup and delivery of parts to internal and external customers
  • Assemble hydraulic hoses to Caterpillar standards
  • Maintain the parts physical and electronic inventory and process all core returns and warranty parts
  • Coach and mentor Parts team to meet and exceed customer and business objectives aligned with company targets
  • Promote a high level of customer satisfaction and follow up on parts work-flow processes
  • Improve customer satisfaction by identifying problem areas and initiating corrective procedures
  • Encourage continuous improvement at site through regularly scheduled meetings and associated training
  • Manage required training needs, performance evaluations and guidance sessions for direct reports
  • Lead team through Sea-Lift Planning and execution along with Parts returns

Key Qualifications

  • Post secondary education with a technical focus and 2+ years experience in heavy equipment industry with mining environment experience (licensed technician preferred)
  • Strong technical aptitude with CAT parts and products would be an asset
  • Highly safety conscious, self-motivated and adaptable to changing and multiple priorities to meet aggressive deadlines in a fast paced environment
  • Solid business acumen with advanced understanding of business principles
  • Effective communication skills to effectively interact across all levels of the organization
  • Solution focused and customer centric with effective interpersonal, leadership, coaching and team building skills to support operations
  • Excellent negotiating, analytical and organizational, problem solving skills with a high sense of urgency
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Applications, DBS, SIS, Caterpillar Corporate Web Navigation and NGS
  • Willing and able to travel and work flexible hours in support of the needs of the business
  • Must possess valid passport and a valid Driver’s License with a clean driver’s abstract
  • Bilingual French/English will be an asset
