Reporting To: Corporate Parts Manager

Do you have high integrity and strong work ethic?  We are seeking a talented Corporate Mining Parts Analyst to provide parts support for our Remote Mine Sites including the coordination and execution of sealifts and winter road stock replenishment and to optimize and rationalize the parts inventory levels throughout the year.

Key Accountabilities

  • Demonstrate safe, environmentally sound and healthy work behaviours at all times, in support of Toromont’s Health and Safety Policies, Programs and initiatives
  • Provide support in planning and execution of major mine site sea-lift and ice road parts shipments including customer POs, parts inventory levels, shipping routes and timelines in conjunction with remote site requirements
  • Assist with parts inventory rationalization, by store, to meet the right balance between inventory turns and customer fill rate percentage including yearly stock levelling and supplier returns
  • Assist in various parts and logistical projects as directed by the Mining Division and Project Managers including forecasting annual parts consumption and stocking requirements based on projected equipment utilization forecasts
  • Ensure all freight and expediting charges for major sea-lifts are well documented and organized for a 100% expense recovery
  • Conduct analysis and reporting for key parts metrics including fill rates, inventory turns and expedite recovery
  • Provide support to the Mining Parts Specialist for parts order processing during surge periods and vacation coverage

Key Qualifications

  • Post-Secondary Education with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a related industry and highly safety conscious
  • Knowledge of the parts business and mining products would be an asset
  • Customer centric with proven analytical, problem solving and time management skills
  • Effective communication and strong interpersonal skills to deal with internal and external customers at all levels
  • A sense of urgency and mindset for continuous improvement
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Self-starter, independent and a team player with high initiative and integrity
  • Ability to manage multiple and often competing priorities in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
  • Understanding of Caterpillar and Toromont operating policies and procedures would be an asset
  • Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Applications with an advanced Excel knowledge (experience with parts systems, DBS and/or SIS would be an asset)
