Reporting To: Parts Supervisor

If you have high integrity and a strong work ethic, we want you on our team!   We are seeking a technically strong Parts Counter Person to play a vital role in customer service at our Branch as the key customer contact for advising and distributing parts and consistently providing superior service.

Key Accountabilities

  • Demonstrate safe work and environmentally sound behaviours at all times in support of Toromont’s Health and Safety Policy, Programs and initiatives
  • Coordinate the daily functions of the parts operations, including procuring, ordering, backorders, credits and core processing for internal and external customers
  • Process email, phone orders and parts sales over the counter
  • Process all core returns and warranty parts
  • Ensure customer needs are met in an efficient, knowledgeable and professional manner
  • Provide on call service on weekends for emergency parts operations as necessary

Key Qualifications

  • Post Secondary Education and 3+ years experience on a heavy equipment or truck parts counter/inside sales
  • Safety conscious with a technical/mechanical aptitude and background in heavy equipment/truck equipment
  • Customer centric and organized with a mindset for continuous improvement
  • Exceptional communication with strong interpersonal skills and relationship building capacity
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and adapt in a fast-paced and deadline environment
  • A positive self-starter, independent and a team player with a sense of urgency
  • Highly computer and systems literate with proficiencies in Microsoft Applications and other parts systems
  • Knowledge of DBS, CAT SIS would be an asset
  • Willing and able to work flexible hours in support of the business needs
