Reporting To: Manager, Client Services (I.T.)

If you have high integrity and a strong work ethic, we want you on our team!   We are seeking talented Systems Analysts to provide technical knowledge in implementing, assisting and maintaining our computer systems and related technology throughout the Company.   As second level support within the IT Department, the Systems Analyst will ensure all end user devices are serviced in a timely manner and also take part in assigned projects for the department.  

Key Accountabilities

  • Demonstrate safe work and environmentally sound behaviours at all times in support of Toromont’s Health and Safety Policy, Programs and initiatives 
  • Deploy and support new Windows 10 PCs to users across Manitoba, Ontario and Atlantic Canada
  • Travel to Branches to assist with hardware and software upgrade project
  • Provide end user technical support of Toromont’s user computing devices including setup, maintenance/repair and improvements to various systems and applications within the Toromont organization
  • Manage all communication and resolution of issues via phone, e-mail or in-person and through ServicePRO (trouble ticketing system)
  • Maintain support documentation/databases regarding implemented technology and end user problem/resolution issues and perform knowledge sharing of these items within the IT team
  • Assist in the testing and evaluation of new hardware and software and provide technical recommendations

Key Qualifications

  • University Degree/College Diploma in an Information Technology discipline and a minimum  5+ years’ experience with hardware and accessories
  • Safety conscious with a solid understanding of Microsoft products (Windows, Office, Skype)
  • Technical knowledge of PC/LAN/WAN communications and hardware/software 
  • Knowledge of IBM/Lenovo desktops and notebooks, HP netbooks and printers, Windows Domain log-on scripts and user administration
  • Customer centric with exceptional communication, interpersonal, organizational, diagnostic and analytical skills 
  • Positive team player with strong problem solving abilities and a sense of urgency in a fast paced environment
  • Effective time-management and project planning skills with the ability to adapt to multiple and often changing schedules
  • Attention to detail and aptitude for learning software quickly with minimum instruction
  • Willing and able to travel and work on call and after hours rotations
  • A valid Ontario Driver's Licence and clean Driver's Abstract
