Reporting To: Warehouse Manager

Do you have high integrity and strong work ethic?  We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to effectively manage all central warehouse functions on a daily basis to operate a clean, efficient, safe and secure parts warehouse that provides service to all Company Branches.

Key Accountabilities

  • Model the way for safe, environmentally sound and healthy work behaviours in support of Toromont’s Health and Safety Policies, Programs and initiatives
  • Manage daily workflow in the centralized Parts Warehouse through established operating procedures and policies
  • Schedule employees to meet business needs, distribute, prioritize and monitor work assignments
  • Manage customer requests including walk-ins to the parts counter/in shops for all branches
  • Encourage continuous improvement within the warehouse operations through regular communication
  • Assist in troubleshooting and problem solving to address any customer complaints and identify and resolve issues by initiating corrective procedures
  • Promote and improve a high level of customer satisfaction and follow up on delivery of requests
  • Manage day-to-day employee performance and development in accordance to the Collective Agreement and Company Policies
  • Maintain inventory accuracy for over 55,000 line items
  • Manage tools, equipment and the overall organization of warehouse facilities/locations
  • Provide input for planning and budgeting processes and expense analysis
  • Provide skills training/resources to employees and assist in the hiring process
  • Work with a sense of urgency and foster a team environment to encourage growth

Key Qualifications

  • Post Secondary Education and minimum 3 years experience in a warehouse environment
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in a Supervisor position
  • Highly safety conscious with mechanical aptitude and knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems
  • Customer centric with proven leadership, coaching and team development abilities
  • Effective communication and strong interpersonal skills to deal with internal and external customers at all levels
  • Solid business and financial acumen with effective decision making and a mindset for continuous improvement
  • Self-directed, independent and a team player with high initiative, integrity and a mindset for continuous improvement
  • Sense of urgency and adaptable to consistently changing priorities in a fast paced, deadline driven environment
  • Computer literate with proficiencies in Microsoft Word and Excel and comfortable with RF devices
  • Knowledge of DBS, or experience with Toromont parts operations would be an asset  
  • A valid Driver’s Licence with a current clean Driver’s Abstract
