Reporting To: Exchange Manager - Reman

If you have high integrity and a strong work ethic, we want you on our team! Our Reman Service Planner will provide technical expertise and accountability for scheduling all component repairs with internal teams within the service operations. 

Key Accountabilities

  • Demonstrate safe, environmentally sound and healthy work behaviours at all times, in support of Toromont’s Health and Safety Policies, Programs and initiatives
  • Responsible for all Toromont Exchange Products (Hydraulics, Powertrain and Engine) as they go through the exchange process
  • Work with large/mining customers to meet PCR schedules
  • Upon receiving a core, review sales history to determine if cores should be rebuilt, dismantled for CAT returns, sold as a core, or scrapped. Final decision will be made by Exchange Manager
  • Work with the warehouse supervisor to adjust core bank as necessary
  • Send job requests for approved rebuilds to appropriate department
  • Set all department (HC, PT, EN) priorities for all back orders, production jobs, stock orders, warranty, and service jobs. Work with supervisors to set ESD’s
  • Communicate ESD’s and delivery delays to end user
  • Process and track add bills
  • Ensure deadlines are met and coordinate paint and shipment of finished product with warehouse supervisor
  • Backfill for CSR vacations and Warehouse Supervisor vacations (only paint and shipping)

Key Qualifications

  • Post Secondary Education in a technical/mechanical program with a minimum 5 years experience in service operations
  • Technical aptitude with basic knowledge of Caterpillar and competitive product lines
  • Highly customer centric and a strong team player with a sense of urgency
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with a proven ability to work effectively within cross functional teams
  • Attention to detail, efficient time-management and effective planning skills with the ability to quickly adapt to multiple and often changing schedules and priorities in a deadline driven environment
  • Self-directed with high integrity and initiative to be proactive in problem solving
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications including Excel, Word and Outlook (experience with DBS and SIS would be an asset)
  • Willing and able to work flexible business hours in support of the business
