Reporting To: Service Supervisor, Truck

Do you have high integrity and strong work ethic?  We are seeking a talented Truck Service Coordinator to play a vital role in the team as a key contributor and primary contact in providing superior customer service for internal and external customers. 
Please note:  This is the afternoon shift.

Key Accountabilities

  • Demonstrate safe and environmentally sound work behaviours all times in support of Toromont’s Health and Safety Policy, Programs and initiatives
  • Ensure timely and professional handling of customers, invoice inquiries and any other issues
  • Collaborate with Product Support Manager to ensure effective resolutions
  • Process and manage WIP (work in progress) to ensure timely invoicing within cycle deadlines
  • Implement processes required for WIP operations to ensure objectives are achieved/exceeded
  • Ensure all work order documentation is in order and filed accordingly
  • Process warranty work and associate Time Requirement Guides (TRG’s) for the Truck Service
  • Process and submit Goodwill Claims
  • Monitor, track and manage warranty analysis reports and claims to CAT including rejected claims
  • Manage local purchases to ensure proper allocation and alignment with pricing as quoted
  • Monitor maintenance contract variance, associated expenses and labour recap prior to payroll submissions

Key Qualifications

  • Post Secondary Education with a technical or business focus and 5+ years experience in a service shop or technical industry
  • Highly safety conscious with a technical/mechanical aptitude and/or background in truck and/or heavy equipment
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with a sense of urgency
  • Customer centric with effective relationship building through all levels
  • Mindset for continuous improvement and proven analytical aptitude with attention to detail
  • Proactive with the ability to effectively adapt and prioritize in a fast-paced and deadline driven environment
  • Strong business acumen with effective decision making skills with often changing priorities
  • Self-starter, independent and a team player with strong initiative and high integrity
  • Computer and systems literate with proficiencies in Excel and Word and Outlook Applications
  • Knowledge of DBS, CAT SIS, or experience with Toromont operations would be an asset
