Reporting To: Parts Supervisor

Do you have high integrity and strong work ethic?  We are seeking a dynamic Parts Trainee will play a vital role in learning our Parts business and as a key contact for our Parts customer’s in our Central Region will be responsible for advising and distributing parts to consistently provide superior Customer Service. 
Please note:  Travel between Concord, Peterborough and Orillia will be required in this position.

Key Accountabilities

  • Demonstrate safe work and environmentally sound behaviors at all times in support of Toromont’s Health and Safety Policy, Programs and initiatives
  • Rotate through a variety of job functions within Parts to gain a holistic view of the Parts Business and our Customer needs
  • Coordinate the daily functions of the parts operations, including procuring, ordering, backorders, credits and core processing for internal and external customers
  • Process email and phone orders as well as all core returns and warranty parts
  • Ensure customer needs are met in an efficient, knowledgeable and professional manner
  • Provide parts service in Concord, Peterborough and Orillia as required
  • Provide on call service on weekends for emergency parts operations as necessary

Key Qualifications

  • Post-Secondary Education is preferred
  • Safety conscious with technical/mechanical aptitude
  • Background in Heavy Equipment or Truck is preferred
  • Customer centric with exceptional communication and strong interpersonal skills to build relationships
  • Highly organized with a mindset for continuous process improvement
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and adapt in a fast-paced and deadline environment
  • A positive self-starter, independent and a team player with a sense of urgency
  • Highly computer and systems literate with proficiencies in Microsoft Applications
  • Experience in a Parts Retail environment/order desk would be preferred, but not a requirement
  • Willing and able to work flexible hours and travel in support of the business needs
  • Valid Driver’s Licence and clean Driver’s Abstract
